Steve Johnson from the Fenton Historical Society came to Temple on Wednesday, January 30, 2014, and presented to all of the 2nd grade classes on the War of 1812. This presentation coincided with the listening and learning strand from the common core that the 2nd grade students are currently learning in their classes. Students at Temple Elementary School showed their spirit of giving during the holiday season by donating items to the Chautauqua County Humane Society during the month of December. Mr. Rick Helt coordinated the collection.
