2024-2025 Budget Vote and Board Election Information
The 2024-2025 Annual School District Budget Vote and Board Election will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM prevailing time in the gymnasium foyer at the Middle/High School, 2 East Avenue North, Falconer NY, for the purpose of electing two (2) members of the Falconer Central School District Board of Education, voting on the District’s budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, and any additional propositions which will be listed below.
Public Budget Hearing:
The public budget hearing for the voters of the District will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 6:00 PM in the Middle/High School Media Center for the purpose of presenting the proposed 2024-2025 budget.
Board Member Election:
The election of two (2) members of the Board of Education shall be held for two (2) full five-year terms of office, (7/1/2024-6/30/2029). All candidates will be nominated by petition. If you are interested in running for a seat on the Falconer Central School District Board of Education, a petition and informational packet can be obtained from the District Clerk, Sara Kennison, at the Middle/High School Business Office during the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday or by contacting the District Clerk at skennison@falconerschools.org. School Board candidate nominating petitions are due to the office of the District Clerk by 5:00 PM on April 22, 2024.
Absentee Ballots:
Applications for Absentee Ballots may be obtained at the office of the District Clerk in the Middle/High School Business Office during the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, starting April 29, 2024. Completed applications must be received at least (7) days before the District Vote if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter (May 14, 2024), or the day before the District Vote, if the ballot is to be delivered to the voter in person (May 20, 2024). Completed absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk by 5:00 PM on May 21, 2024.
Early Mail Voting:
Information regarding the new option for early mail voting for the annual school district budget and Board of Education election will be updated as soon as it is available.
